Cory Barron is an award-winning DJ, entrepreneur, speaker, and event production specialist based in Tampa, Florida. With more than two decades in live entertainment and events, Cory has built a reputation as one of the leading voices in the private event industry, combining world-class entertainment with innovative event production and business strategy.
After beginning his career as a roller-skating rink DJ in 2004, Cory spent time in nightlife before discovering his passion for weddings, private events, and live experiences. In 2007, he joined one of Florida’s largest mobile entertainment companies, where he quickly became one of the organization’s most requested performers before launching his own company in 2017.
Today, Cory is the founder of DJ Cory Barron, a luxury wedding and destination event brand, and Tampa Bay DJ Company, one of Florida’s premier entertainment and event production firms. Through additional divisions including Lumen Crafted, Tampa Bay A/V, and Tampa Bay Photobooth, his team provides entertainment, lighting design, special effects, audio-visual production, and experiential event services for weddings, corporate events, galas, and destination celebrations throughout the United States and beyond.
Known for his high-energy performances, technical expertise, and commitment to elevating industry standards, Cory is a frequent speaker and educator for event industry organizations, conferences, podcasts, and professional associations. His presentations focus on entertainment trends, business growth, event production, technology, client experience, and the evolving future of live events.
Beyond the stage and the boardroom, Cory is passionate about entrepreneurship, mentorship, and community impact. He is the founder of Putt Putt Pantry, a nonprofit organization that combines miniature golf experiences with food collection efforts to support local communities. He resides in the Tampa Bay area with his wife Amy and their son Brooks, where you’ll often find him on a golf course, out on the water, or planning his next creative project.
